As part of the Asia Media Summit, taking place in Bangkok on the 28th May 2012, Sally-Ann Wilson, CBA Secretary General, will be facilitating a seminar which will demonstrate the merits of Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) in Asia. PSB is one of the most important instruments for engaging citizens in the democratic process and is changing in a digital world, creating new possibilities and opportunities for citizen engagement. The concept and practice of PSB is often even misunderstood by broadcasters. This seminar envisages bringing together broadcasters, managers and policy makers from a number of Asian countries to debate the relationship between Public Service Broadcasting (PSB), audiences and policy makers in a digital world; focusing particularly on creating an enabling environment for PSB.
