Full membership

…is open to radio and television stations both public and private within the Commonwealth.

The CBA:

  • Offers unrivalled global networking opportunities for broadcasting executives and senior media managers.
  • Supports the PSB output of members by lobbying and representing their interests to parliamentarians and governments.
  • Hosts an active and developing website with specialised forums for information and knowledge exchange
  • Holds pan-Commonwealth broadcasting conferences every two years.
  • Holds regional events each year.
  • Promotes partnerships and co-operation between member broadcasters.
  • Organises regular training courses and consultancies, either free or subsidised for members.
  • Awards annual study and travel bursaries, available only to employees of member organisations.
  • Publishes an annual directory of broadcasters in the Commonwealth, free for members.
  • Distributes regular electronic newsletters, Update and Transmission (which has a media technology focus).

The fee for a national broadcasting organisation takes account of the size of the organisation, the value and source of its income and its country’s GDP. The minimum annual subscription for 2014 is £1,692.

The subscription fee for affiliate membership in 2014 is £2,112.
