Syrian child refugees tell their stories: films for broadcast

Regardless of the political outcomes over military action and control of Syria’s chemical weapons, the fate of the children caught up in the war is heartbreaking. There are now more than two million refugees from the conflict, and one million of these are children.

KiteWorldView and Your WorldView are CBA projects that support the development of high-quality international factual films that provide a context to the news. A set of three poignant short films about Syrian child refugees have been specially funded for Your WorldView’s Home season.

Produced by award-winning filmmaker Jezza Neumann of True Vision, Kids in Camps offers insights into the lives of children living in the the Domiz refugee camp on the Syrian-Iraqi border, in their own words. The films are now available rights-free to CBA member broadcasters. Review the films on the Your WorldView website and email yourworldview@cba.org.uk to arrange broadcast copies and a contract.
