Why Poverty? films available to watch

Why Poverty? is a documentary project consisting of eight one-hour and 33 short films, created to provoke debate around development issues such as poverty, the effectiveness of global aid, education, and gender equality.

The films, made by award-winning filmmakers and emerging talents, were shown around the world by more than¬† 70 broadcasters, as well as via web and mobile platforms. The CBA’s WorldView scheme worked with Why Poverty? to provide funding support to three of the long-form films, Welcome to the World, Give Us the Money and Stealing Africa.

Now through the partnership, WorldView, along with its sister project Your WorldView, are proud to make available all the films and shorts to watch, to help continue the debate.
